2023 Rockin' Roll Bike Routes 

2023 Rockin' Roll Family Fun Ride

This ride will be fully escorted by the Greene County Sheriff Department, blocking intersections and keeping riders together for safety!  The route will leave Mother's Brewing Company and proceed to The Discovery Center for a rest stop, snack, music and special Discovery Center activity.  After a nice break, the group will head back to Mother's Brewing Company, enjoying a few circles around the square, for dinner, music, and more fun! We encourage all to decorate their bikes for this festive ride!

2023 Rockin' Roll Choice of Distance of 20-28.5 Mile Route

This route is for the casual cyclist that would like to experience a less challenging ride while having a great amount of fun!  Once you get to the Frisco Highline Trail, the route is flat and easy.  There are three rest stops along the trail offering snacks, beverages and music! 

 

You will begin by following the YELLOW markings labeled with RR and an arrow until you arrive at the section of the Frisco Highline Trail (Arrowhead Road) where the various routes separate. Then you will begin following the color markings for your route. 20-28.5 Mile Route = PURPLE

You have the option to turn around at each of the rest stops for the return trip to Mother's Brewing Company or go on to the next rest stop.  Another choice is to  go to the end of the paved portion of the Frisco Trail and get in a 28.5 mile ride. This feature allows the rider to choose between a 20 mile, 24 mile or 28.5 mile ride.

This route is a “Choose Your Own Distance”. 

  1. Ride to the first rest stop, turning around and returning to Mother’s for a 20-mile ride,

  2. Head to the second rest stop at The Hive before heading back to Mother’s for a 24-mile ride.

  3. Continue to rest stop #3 at the Frisco Willard Trailhead before turning back for a 25.2- mile ride.

  4. Continue all the way to the end of the paved Frisco Trail before turning around, for a 28- mile ride.

When your route returns to the Frisco Highline Trail, you will follow the YELLOW markings once again back to Mother's.

 

Intersections are well marked with 2 or 3 colored arrows before and after the turn.

  • Large intersections in which you will go straight are marked as well. 

  • If you do not see a marking, go straight.

2023 Rockin' Roll 40 Mile Route

This route is for the experienced cyclist wanting some challenge! Features include the paved portion of the Frisco Highline Trail as well as some country roads offering some nice hill climbs!  You will have 4 rest stops to enjoy snacks, beverages and music!

You will begin by following the YELLOW markings labeled with RR and an arrow until you arrive at the section of the Frisco Highline Trail (Arrowhead Road) where the various routes separate. Then you will begin following the ORANGE markings for your route. 40 Mile Route = ORANGE

​

  • Once on the Frisco trail, you will enjoy rest stops at the Frisco Trail Storage and the Frisco Trail Head in Willard. 

  • After you have enjoyed the second rest stop, you will continue up the trail until W FM 68, at which point you will turn right and begin to follow ORANGE markings. 

  • After a couple of loops off the trail, you will head to The Hive for your next rest stop.  After leaving The Hive, you will head straight out on Miller Road crossing the Frisco Trail.  This starts the most challenging section of the route. The route makes a 10-mile loop that will take you back to the trail for a needed stop at the Frisco Trail Storage. 

  • At this point, you will follow the YELLOW markings again back to Mother’s Brewing Company.  

 

2023 Rockin' Roll 55 Mile Paved Route

This route is designed for the avid cyclist!  The route will feature the flat Frisco Highline Trail and also beautiful country roads with many challenging climbs with elevation gain totaling 2330 ft. You will have 4 rest stops to enjoy snacks, beverages and music!

You will begin by following the YELLOW markings labeled with RR and an arrow until you arrive at the section of the Frisco Highline Trail (Arrowhead Road) where the various routes separate. Then you will continue following the YELLOW markings for the remainder of your ride. 55 Mile Paved Route = Remains YELLOW

  • Once you get to the Frisco Trail, you will head straight up the trail enjoying a couple of rest stops on the trail before turning off the trail to head to the Cave Spring area. 

  • You will turn off the trail on North Arrowhead Rd., following the markings to the Walnut Grove Trailhead where there is a rest stop. 

  • After you have rested, you will turn left out of the rest stop and continue into Walnut Grove, then winding your way back to the Frisco Highline Trail.

  • At this point, you will follow the YELLOW markings again back to Mother’s Brewing Company.  

  • This is a very challenging route with over 2000 ft of elevation gain and is geared toward the experienced cyclist.  You will be climbing some nice hills.

2023 Rockin' Roll 55 Mile Mixed Surface Route (26 Miles on Gravel)

This route is for the gravel lover!  While not completely gravel, the out and back route consists of 26 miles of firmly packed chat.  Enjoy the features of the beautiful Frisco Highline Trail crossing several bridges, race downhill to the last bridge and enjoy the 4 mile uphill grade on the return to Walnut Grove rest stop! You will have 4 rest stops to enjoy snacks, beverages and music!   

 

You will begin by following the YELLOW markings labeled with RR and an arrow until you arrive at the section of the Frisco Highline Trail (Arrowhead Road) where the various routes separate. Then you will continue following the GREEN markings. 55 Mile Mixed Surface (Gravel) Route = GREEN

After the rest stop at the Walnut Grove Trailhead, you will continue up the trail to the third bridge (the rails are green; see pic below) at which point you will turn around. There are no markings at the turnaround point. When heading back, follow the same route back to Mother’s Brewing Company
